About Me A History graduate of the University of Otago and completed my PhD at the University of New South Wales in 1999. After a dozen years in the charity sector, including five years as Chief Executive of the Royal New Zealand RSA, I am today a professional historian and public relations consultant. I am managing director of Making History Ltd (2015), providing expertise in communications, history, public relations, major events, master of ceremonies, tourism (overseas battlefield tours), strategy and storytelling. My clients have included NZ Post, Māori Television, Auckland War Memorial Museum, House of Travel, Innovative Travel, RNZRSA, Auckland RSA and the Fields of Remembrance Trust.
