With the Aotearoa New Zealand histories curriculum approaching, earlier this week PHANZA members Liz Ward and Margaret Tennant were involved in showcasing local history and heritage resources to teachers at Ka Mua Ka Muri in Pāmutana.
Hosted by the Palmerston North City Library, Ka Mua Ka Muri (meaning walking backwards into the future) saw heritage groups and historians offer resources and information to give teachers the tools to be able to teach the new curriculum. About 70 teachers from 24 schools attended.
