There is an exciting opportunity to join the Te Pae Wānanga – Tukunga Ihotanga | Research and Publishing – Heritage Content team as Pou Hītori Matua Moananui-a-Kiwa | Senior Pacific Historian.
This newly created role will support the Pacific communities of Aotearoa New Zealand to preserve and share their stories; to advance their cultural aspirations and build their own capability; and help provide all New Zealanders with opportunities to appreciate, understand and engage with the histories and culture of Pacific peoples in Aotearoa. You will lead the Ministry’s work programme for the new Dawn Raids historical website, which is the initial focus of a broader future programme of work on Pacific histories.
