Call for Papers: International Journal of Documentary Heritage (IJDH)

The International Journal of Documentary Heritage (IJDH) is a high quality, peer reviewed, annual publication dedicated to the world’s documentary heritage and UNESCO’s Memory of the World (MoW) Programme. It is the first and only academic journal on this subject and it has been established by the International Centre for Documentary Heritage (ICDH) under the auspices of UNESCO in 2024. Published in print and online, the IJDH serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, cutting-edge findings and best practices related to documentary heritage, and it fosters in-depth discussions on theory and practice. It further acts as a bridge, connecting people across disciplines and countries, and it plays an active role in advancing global understanding of documentary heritage.

Call for Papers

The IJDH invites researchers, academicians, professionals and practitioners worldwide to contribute their original work to the first volume, prepared under the theme of “Contemporary Relevance of Documentary Heritage”. Papers are expected to deal with the position and significance of documentary heritage in society, culture, education and research today. We welcome a wide range of formats, including theoretical essays, empirical research articles, policy briefs, book and exhibition reviews, Memory of the World (MoW) nomination-related contents, training materials, data articles, practical reports, and narratives.
