Volume 22, Issue 2 (August 2016)

In this issue’s editorial, Phanzine co-editor Margaret Tennant discusses two matters relating to Archives New Zealand’s resources: the inconsistencies in access requirements and the problem of blanket restrictions.

PHANZA President, Ewan Morris, currently living in Scotland, describes his activities as a visiting scholar at the University of Edinburgh. In his regular heritage column, Michael Kelly looks at heritage inventories and there is the usual round-up of events in Auckland, Manawatu and Christchurch provided by local members.

David Young pays tribute to the life and works of longstanding member, Graham Butterworth, who died in April and there are profiles of new PHANZA members: Sarah Burgess, Catherine Knight, Jamie Jacobs, Richard Manning and Mark Smith. Mark Webster also talks about publishing iBooks and Lucy Mackintosh, our representative on the New Zealand Historical Association Council, provides an update on activities.
