Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga is advertising for a Programme Manager to work on the Landmarks Whenua Tohunga project. The position is fixed-term until 28 June 2019 and is based in Wellington.
Landmarks Whenua Tohunga is a joint initiative of Manatu Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage, the Department of Conservation Te Papa Atawhai and Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga to promote significant places that are of particular importance in telling New Zealand’s defining stories.
The Programme Manager, Landmarks Whenua Tohunga will lead the development of a long term implementation plan for Landmarks Whenua Tohunga including:
- Branding
- Marketing & Tourism
- Communications
- Co-ordination of programme throughout the country
- Monitoring and evaluation of the overall programme
You will need proven experience in managing complex projects to achieve identified outputs on time and within budget. Experience in iwi liaison and an appreciation for NZ heritage including Maori history is essential.
