A job opportunity has opened up in the Heritage & Research team at Tauranga City Library for an Information Access Specialist.
Reporting to the Team Leader: Heritage & Research, this position is responsible for promoting information literacy, responding to customer reference enquiries (in person, on the phone and online), library interloan services, promoting electronic library resources and supporting staff and the community to meet their information and research needs across all content areas in alignment with library strategy. This role also includes the assessment, organisation and indexing of heritage collections and supports the development of a local history digital repository to meet international standards of preservation and access for heritage and research materials.
