Conservation Architect / Conservation Architectural Advisor

Based in Wellington

We are looking for someone with the passion and skill to be an effective conservation advocate for the Central Region’s heritage places.  You will provide expert architectural conservation and cultural heritage preservation advice to staff, heritage clients, and stakeholders in the Central Region, particularly in regard to heritage resource management, and the adaptation of listed and scheduled historic places.

You must have strong skills to understand building and construction with proven experience in writing fit-for-purpose heritage assessments. Candidates also need the ability and confidence to foster relationships and negotiate outcomes with stakeholders.

A tertiary qualification in architecture or a heritage related field or equivalent is required.
