Join us for a tour of The Treasury Research Centre and Archive in Thames with The Treasury’s manager (and Phanza Committee member) Danielle Campbell, to learn about the history of both the Carnegie Free Library building and its purpose-built adjoining archive. You will also get a sneak peek at some of the most significant documentary heritage collections from the Coromandel/ Hauraki regions that are being preserved in The Treasury’s archive for future generations and researchers.
Meet either in Thames midday, or in Auckland 10am for car pool to Thames.
Please RSVP (firstname.lastname@example.org) to indicate if you are happy to join the car pool as a passenger/would prefer to be a driver/would be happy to take others in you car with you, or would prefer to make your own way there. Once we have numbers, those travelling as passengers will be advised as to pick up point.
We will meet for lunch first at midday at the Melbourne Cafe, 715 Pollen Street, then make our way 200 metres around the corner to The Treasury.
