Submissions Open: Make the National War Memorial/Te Maharatanga Pakanga o Te Motu a National Historic Landmark

National Historic Landmarks/Ngā Manawhenua o Aotearoa me ōna Kōrero Tūturu is a list of places of outstanding national heritage value that are cornerstones of our identity as New Zealanders. Its purpose is to promote an appreciation of these places and their conservation, including protection from natural disasters.

Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga is proposing that the National War Memorial in Wellington is recognised as a National Historic Landmark. They would like to know what you think. Head to Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga’s website for more information on this place and its heritage significance and to make a submission.
