100 years ago this month: Public health reflections on the influenza pandemic and World War One
Both the war and the pandemic, which occurred a hundred years ago, had massive health impacts for New Zealanders. Come and learn about University of Otago Wellington epidemiological research on these topics – and what the remaining research gaps are.
About the speaker:
Nick Wilson presents this seminar on behalf of his co-authors Jennifer Summers, George Thomson and Michael Baker. Nick is a professor of public health whose research covers a broad range of interests including epidemiological modelling and health economics, tobacco, infectious diseases, and climate change.
