A new biography documents the life of pioneering woman scientist, Elizabeth Alexander. She worked in England, Singapore, New Zealand and Nigeria, and the book shows how she fitted her career around family responsibilities, urgent wartime research, and the career choices of her husband. From 1942-45 she was involved in the development of radar in New Zealand.
