Back in 1965, the Library was born from bringing together the General Assembly Library, the Alexander Turnbull Library and the National Library Service (which included the Country and School Library Services) under the National Library Act.
With the support of Te Puna Foundation, the National Library is celebrating their birthday with a series of inspiring, free events until the end of the year.
See the full 60th birthday programme on the National Library website.
