Events cancelled

Several events of interest to historians have been cancelled because of COVID-19.

The Stout Centre has decided to postpone the ‘Wellington 180’ seminar series until later in the year. It has also postponed the oral history conference planned for July at Victoria University of Wellington.

The National Library is also temporarily suspending some activities until 31 May 2020.

It is suspending all events held in the National Library building, all tours and any public programmes.

The reading rooms, exhibitions, cafe, shop and Matapihi pop-up library are open. However, the Nga Taonga Sound and Vision Reading Room has closed. Keep up to date by regularly visiting the National Library’s website
