Acting Chief Librarian Jessica Moran will discuss the Turnbull Library’s evolving process for deciding what to add to the Library’s rich collections. This online talk will go behind the scenes to explain how we appraise and prepare new collections and taonga for use by researchers.

Behind the scenes of acquisition

The process for acquiring material for the Alexander Turnbull Library’s collections is an evolving one, and this talk will go behind the scenes to explain the acquisition and other processes. Acting Chief Librarian Jessica Moran and some special guests will share some of the recently acquired and described material that’s been added to the Library’s rich collections.

About the speaker

Jessica Moran has worked at the Alexander Turnbull Library for just over ten year. Prior to being seconded to the role of Chief Librarian, she held the role of Associate Chief Librarian Research Collections.
