Conference details: 31 August – 2 September 2017 at Victoria University of Wellington (venue to be confirmed)
The First World War divided New Zealand society in many ways. But in the current commemorative climate little attention has been paid to the perceptions and actions of those who opposed the war. Dissent may take many forms, and we hope that this conference, co-hosted by the Stout Research Centre for New Zealand Studies, the Labour History Project, and The Archives and Records Association of New Zealand (ARANZ), will include discussion of a variety of themes.
The deadline for proposals is 28 April 2017. These should include a title, abstract of no more than 300 words, and full contact details for the presenter(s). We welcome submissions from a broad range of presenters, and encourage those who might be interested in organizing a panel session, or have any further queries, to contact David Grant: email@example.com.
