Applicants wanted for the Environment and Heritage Committee

The Department of Internal Affairs has issued a call for nominations for appointment to Lottery distribution committees on behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs. This includes a call for nominations to the Environment and Heritage Committee.

The Environment and Heritage Committee considers applications for funding for a range of projects to protect New Zealand’s cultural, natural and physical heritage. The Minister is seeking candidates who offer the following specialist skills and experience:

  • an understanding of the natural, physical and cultural heritage of New Zealand including Māori cultural perspectives; knowledge of heritage building restoration; knowledge of environmental restoration; knowledge of cultural and physical heritage in a museum context.

Candidates will need to supply a CV, completed application and disclosure form, and cover letter addressing the selection criteria.
