Historic Places Aotearoa and Historic Places Hawke’s Bay are running a Community Heritage Conference between 8-10 November 2024 in Napier. It is especially for Community Heritage groups and individuals.
The conference theme is:
Local Heritage Matters
Historic Places Aotearoa was set up as a fully independent organisation to advocate for historic heritage throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. It is an organisation for local and regional heritage groups, historical societies, local museums, genealogists, iwi and hapu —all those people who work so hard to preserve the history of their area. These wonderful people are the unsung heroes of heritage protection in our country. This conference is for them – to enable distant groups to meet share ideas get inspiration and generally network and have lots of heritage fun.
